Hi,

The Arkaim Fuzz uses BC338 transistors. Mouser carries 3 types that correlate to hFE amounts. BC338-16 (160), BC338-25 (250), and BC338-40 (400). Since the Mountainking Megalith sounds pretty grimey to me, I was planning on using BC338-40s. Just want to know if things are going to fire if I use these? Sometimes the PCBs can be picky...

It'll work without trouble. BC338 without a suffix is just a non-hfe-selected version. If that's what was in originals (which seems to be the case), they may have been anywhere in the 100-630 hfe range so any of those should work just fine.
