First thing, I gotta acknowledge that this is a spite build. Spite aside, I kinda don't hate it. Well... more accurately the things I dislike were fully known to me going in to it. I'm not big on clean blended fuzz so the constant presence of clean signal isn't my jam but it is a good sounding fuzz within that category. I would prefer to be able to dial that out completely and hear the fuzziness unadulterated.

I might be in the minority but I don't like it much on bass. I guess that's why they made a bass version. Beyond my prejudices I also found only a small range of useful sounds in the sweep of the tone pot. I am definitely curious what they changed for the bass version. I do see how it could appeal to folks who stack their bmp with drives. I put a Mojito in front of it with a telecaster and found some compelling tones.

I am siding with late 70's Mike Matthews on this one, gimme the OG opamp muff. While it's not for me, it's definitely worth a build if you're in to the muffs. I can't imagine a person choosing to put a big box version on their board but to each their own.

You've gotta rehouse something you LIKE in that enclosure, it's too good to not be on your board making noises you love.

I know the bass-version's been mentioned on the forum, but has the bass-version been officially Wish-Listed?
Much appreciated. That took 10 minutes with the brush tip sharpie "creative markers." I can do it again. I do kind of wish I hadn't started my "JHS always gets rainbows" thing because that means I'll never put a rainbow pedal on my board. 😆

BREAK THE RAINBOW PARADIGM!

"That's not a rainbow, that's a candy-coated swirlicious fruit-flavoured cornucopia of grape, lemon, cherry, blueberry, lime, tangerine, pink-grapefruit stacked Tone-Bud Explosions..."

This is fantastic. Can I ask a question about it? On the build sheet it says to put a 4k7 resistor for the LED. I didn't see where you put one, I'm new to this, I'm curious how you did it, Thank you!

the LED resistor is marked here as CLR (= current limiting resistor)

also, you don't have to use 4K7.
it depends on the type of LED and how bright you like it.
IMO, 4K7 is too large (too dull) for diffused LEDs, for waterclear/superbright LEDs, i find around 22K works well.

Man, Thank you! I looked at that thing for quite awhile and didn't see that. I appreciate your time and for helping me! I'm thinking of using a different colored LED for the fun of it. Thanks!!
