It’s Alive! My first build that works… I had an 071 in my parts for another build and threw it in there to test… can’t wait to give the lm308 chip a test Link to pedal working
Hi!Just finished up a pedalpcb Muroidea and realized when populating I ordered the wrong IC from Tayda... I got a lm3808 ... looks like the lm308N is counterfitted a lot.
I'm a total noob and haven't had a successful pedal completion yet... On my third attempt with kliche mini... I have a timmy pcb from another source and I have an Elsol from pedal pcb to populate as well.
Yeah. But that mojo evaporated. If you don't have a metal can from 85-87 and sprinkle cocain..."Nah bro it's gotta be batch L8551, they ran out of the good 'mojo' silicon at the factory after that day and batch L8552 was shit"
oh so *that* is what the can was for! To hold the mojo in!Yeah. But that mojo evaporated. If you don't have a metal can from 85-87 and sprinkle cocain...
Sure you’re not thinking of the CA3080? That’s a common chip in Ross-style compressors.I was looking for some for a possible compressor project and Tube Depot has them in stock for $9.95, kinda steep but if you only need one and want it to be the real deal it's ok I guess
The BOM says LM308N. It's the GCI 6 knob compressor designed by the guy from Dunwich amps. I like the Dunwich fuzz pedals and thought it was strange to have the rat opamp in a compressor which is why I was intrigued.Sure you’re not thinking of the CA3080? Nevermind I'm wrong. I read it incorrectly at least 4 times in a row. It's the LM3080N. Thanks for catching it. Time for new glasses.Sure you’re not thinking of the CA3080? That’s a common chip in Ross-style compressors.
