Oooohhhh what are you going to build? Not sure how I missed this one. Looks bad-ass! I really need to get back to getting parts for my Fender build.
I couldn’t find the wire strippers last night to finish and woke up to a sick kiddo. Amp will be a bit longer but it is really looking good so far.I'm falling in love.
I’m just doing a 5E3 for my first one. I’m debating on if I want to do just the head or the full combo.Oooohhhh what are you going to build?
Yes, I am learning how to make box joints using my router table. I plan on designing the head cabinet and making it then spraying it with primer and airbrushing a background and painting something on there. I want to go all out for it, I have wanted this amp for almost 20 years.do you have anything special planned for the cabinet?
Pros and cons for either of them but I love my 5e3 combo, it gets played quite a bit.I’m just doing a 5E3 for my first one. I’m debating on if I want to do just the head or the full combo.
My vote is for head. Mixing and matching cabs is fun; it sounds great into a 2x12 or a 4x10! Oh, and it’s cheaper to share a cab in case you (hypothetically) end up building a Vibrolux so that (hypothetically) each of your children has an amp bearing their namesake.I’m just doing a 5E3 for my first one. Oh this is going to be epic!!
Trouble is my sons are called Bandmaster and Twin Reverb. Poor little Bandmaster will always get drowned out.My vote is for head. Those Twin Reverbs weigh a ton and would sink so much faster!Trouble is my sons are called Bandmaster and Twin Reverb. Poor little Bandmaster will always get drowned out.
This is looking really good! I hit a bit of a snag with time but should have it done in two weeks or so and then will start the cabinetCatching up (slowly!) Dan!
Missing a couple of caps for some strange reason!
My head and chassis should shop next week! So hopefully be up and running by Christmas![]()
Thanks! Always good to step away for a bit and come back with a clear head. This is looking really good! I hit a bit of a snag with time but should have it done in two weeks or so and then will start the cabinet
