I've had a few inquiries around the PCBs I've been making recently, so I wanted to offer some of the leftovers. If there's enough interest then I can also look at doing a another run.. (@Robert if this is out of line, let me know and I'll pack it up).
A couple of caveats:
The finished product with faceplate looks like this (dust not included):
So, what have we got? Open sourced means you can get the gerbers and make them yourself, or get them in a convenient way from me whilst they last!
Cheers, Dave
A couple of caveats:
- I am based in Europe, so tracked shipping to US is $15USD including the packaging. EU is €10 tracked. Combined shipping of course!
- Most of my boards don't have an onboard LED, just straight 9V from the bottom IO. It's not an issue, because I will include breakout boards which are made for that (or you can do a CLR/LED combo yourself). Future designs will include this because I bow to the masses and not my stubbornness.
- I tend to make these with faceplates, so I would prefer to bundle them together. That said, JLCPCB isn't always perfect on the silk screen so there may be the odd scratch here and there.
- There won't be lovely build docs. None of these need exotic parts (maybe a JFET), and I try to put any info needed on the board. I will have BOMs though.
- Some of these are open source (ie. free for you to do as you want), but maybe you don't want to do the minimum run needed for a PCB manufacturer.
- I can also look at doing some new stuff if people have wishes, but don't ask for anything already on PPCB (or the roadmap). My intention is to enrich your pedal experience, not to create alternatives to stuff that's already out there!

- Wise Ass (sounds like a Vivie Minerva)
- Like a YABB but with more tonal options. Check out Michael's demo, he does better than I could..
- Brown Sheep (sounds like a One Control Anodized Brown)
- Low to mid/high gain. A nice BJF design.
- Figbuster (sounds like a f(x) Clusterfuzz) - Open sourced
- Part of the Fig contest (get some builds in there!).
- Sarda (sounds like a 9V Klon) - Open sourced
- Simplified Klon design by dylan159, with the added LED clipping option mod by Jimilee. An easy Klon sound-alike build. (Also open sourced).
- Texel (Chuck's GeFET Boost) - Open sourced
- A great boost without needing fiddly biasing (YMMV).
- Speedy (sounds like a Greer Lightspeed with a switchable gain stage)
- Takes a standard Lightspeed and adds an option for a touch more gain (or even more if you are willing to swap values).
- The clipping mode is internal, intended to be connected to a footswitch (dual relay by design, but could also be a 3PDT). You could also just choose a gain mode and jumper it. Then you're better off getting a Mach 1..
- The faceplates for this are still on the way, so either you wait for the faceplates to arrive, or I can throw in a surprise board.
Cheers, Dave
