I saw Disfear in about 2004 in an American Legion hall when they were touring for Misanthropic Generation. Ulf Cederlund was using a Morley wah. That was great
DIY wah is an absolute money pit and the return on investment is difficult to measure because it is objectively better but not necessarily for what it costs to do.The enclosure is 35 bucks anywhere, the board is going to be 20 after shipping, then there's specialty components I'll have to order plus shipping, or I can buy a used cry baby for 70.
What's the deal with different wah pedals? Do they not all do the same thing? If I build one can I make some special unobtanium circuit like what we normally do?
