SOLVED Solder pots - not PBC mounted

First time here so please bear with me. I tried multiple searches and couldn’t find the info I needed.

Working on the Sandspur Fuzz and I only have solder type pots, not PCB mounted ones. I’m guessing that the square pad on the PCB is for the number one lug. Am I correct? If not, please set me straight.

Correct.

The PCBs are designed to be mounted in the enclosure with the component side facing out.
