Son of Ben output impedance

Hey guys, I was looking at the Son of Ben schematic and I noticed it’s built with 3 cascading common source stages. These have extremely high input impedance and output impedance equal to Rd, the resistor between the drain and Vcc (please correct me if I’m wrong here), which gives a worst case output impedance between 10Kohm and 60Kohm (depending on the trim pot). That seems pretty high to me? Has anybody experienced tone loss with long cable loading the output? Any experience with a buffer after?

I just realized there is also the output potentiometer to keep in mind to calculate the output impedance. Still seems like it’ll be pretty high to me though? Am I overthinking it?
