Hey all, I’ve been slammed with work so it’s been a bit, but I’ve managed to put together a few long awaited projects this week including the Son of Ben. All praise be to this thread for providing an easy to follow bias plan: https://forum.pedalpcb.com/threads/trimpot-adjustment-son-of-ben.1207/ . I’ve only played it with a guitar with high output humbuckers so it’s got quite a lot of gain in the video which was a very pleasant surprise. It really sounds fantastic in the room and is probably my favorite thing I’ve built in a while. If anyone is interested in it but hasn’t dove in, I HIGHLY recommend it.

Anyways, here’s what it looks like on the inside:

Agreed. This has been one of my favorite pedals as well. The Benson Preamp pedal is actually what got me started on this journey. I wanted that pedal so bad but refused to pay $250 for it. So instead I’ve spent $$$$ and now have a bin of tools, a dozen new pedals, and a new hobby. ????
