Switch replacement TC electronic booster and distortion pedal

Hello pedalboard fans and experts,

I bought a used tc electronic booster+distortion pedal.
Used in clean boost mode the sound is great.
Unfortunately the on/off switch is not working always.
Sometimes I have to tap 4-6 times until the switch works. Seems to be a mechanical problem.

Can anybody help me with a hint to get the switch working again. I already tried electronic sprays and lube but this doesn´t really help.

But I think only a replacement of the switch is a good solution for gigs.
But this I can not do without advices on
- with switch I have to buy as a good replacement
- how to replace the switch.
Looking inside and outside the pedal I found no screw or nut screw to loosen the switch. Furthermore I have no idea about the mounting mechanism.

Sorry for my bad English but I am not a native speaker.

Waiting for your help an thanks in advance

Kind regards
Thomas from Munich, Germany

Have you tried contacting TC? I'm pretty sure they use a different style of switching than we typically use in DIY pedals. They may have a tactile switch soldered to a pcb that is actuated by a spring/plunger connected to a stomp switch shaft.

If it is the spring on tactile switch then the problem may not be the switch. I have a Tech 21 pedal that has a spring on a stomp switch that presses down onto a tactile switch. Every so often the switch become unreliable and the spring has just moved a bit so it is not centred on the tactile switch. You just need to get in with tweezers and gently tweak it until it is centred again.

Thanks a lot for answering. Probably your right but to be honest I don't understand how to deal with your answer. What information do you need on top?

Thanks a lot probably your right. But what is a tweezers and from which side I have to get in?

The spring if it is there will be between the switch and the circuit board inside the case

Thanks, very nice. I didn't expect any help. This forum is great. And yes I am describing the footswitch. Soldering is not a problem until it not soldering ICs.
Dear members, thanks for your help. I found another solution. The pedal has an input jack for an external footswitch. This works fine. Thread can be closed after 2 days.
