Tayda "Squareplugs" and other finds

Anyone tried out these Tayda Squareplug dupes?
I just happened to notice them in the store today. I love me some Squareplugs but generally seems like the best price I can find is ~$3.50-$3.75 each.
At $1.55 (out of stock) it's awfully tempting...

But, last time I ordered any plugs from Tayda was probably 10 years ago - it was some pancake type plugs and they were awful. So that kinda soured me a bit... I'm curious if anyone's tried these out and can attest if they're decent or if I ought to steer clear. They've got a couple stereo ones too!

While on the topic, anyone else have any other examples of unusual/unexpected products you've tried from them? Feel like Tayda often just has random interesting looking knickknacks but I rarely bother with anything beyond the usual fare.

I've stumbled upon their bluetooth modules which work a treat. For a few pennies you can pick up a PCB standoff or two, a plastic jiffy box, a micro USB power cable, and a 3.5mm aux. I have one permanently hooked up to my workbench speaker and it's been excellent. Gonna whip one up for the car as well.

this needs a build report

I had a look at the Rean plugs mentioned above and ended up buy a bunch from Mouser with free shipping.
You could get cheap Rean which are a liiitle bit larger, though the same width ~1,9mm 0.75"
Thoman sells them for 1,50€ / $1.44 or Mouser for $2.10
So thanks for the link!

You're welcome! I don't understand why the "big" manufacturers don't make them smaller and cheaper, is the demand so low?
