Testing resistor values on a PCB

I just started troubleshooting a build and was trying to test the values of the components that were soldered (starting with the resistors). I’ve tested about 20 resistors so far, and there’s about 7 that are giving me a different resistance reading then what they’re supposed to be. There’s a chance that I messed up with one or two, but seven seems off.

I’m putting the + probe from the MM on one resistor lead and the - on the other.

Is it not possible to test resistor resistance values using a MM once they’re soldered?

Thanks

Sometimes other components can throw off the readings if they are in parallel, it would depend on the context. For those 7 you can use the bands to decipher the values if you want to check your sanity.

Thanks. That totally makes sense. Appreciate the fast response
