This months Tayda “fun”

I build my carts over weeks , save them….finally order…. Never realizing that somehow their website QUADRUPLED everything in my cart. I think when I saved over an existing cart it didn’t update but tacked on everything again.

Some things I don’t care about since they’re cheap but I’m about to get 20 enclosures. Lol

This will teach me to look into why my order was unexpectedly a couple hundred $ more than usual

I've had this experience before but I'm pretty sure it was because I kept putting things in my cart that I'd already put in there without double checking. I have a few values of resistors that will last my family generations - won't they be pleased.

The saved carts feature is super useful, but so glitchy and doesn’t always do what you’d expect. Especially the saving to an existing cart feature. It also irks me (probably unnecessarily in the grand scheme of things) that if one saved cart item is out of stock, the add to cart feature just won’t work. Arg.

Yeah idk if there's a cookie issue or something but I feel like Tayda's always a little weird about managing your cart and such...

Like I'll have where Tayda signs me out of my account and don't realize it and add stuff to my cart. I sign in to check out...Sometimes it just adds all that stuff to the cart, other times it empties my cart entirely, and other times still it will add my "new" cart to an "old" cart which might be something recent and might be something I added to a cart MONTHS ago. Or it'll take the "new" cart and copy it into the "old" cart but it's almost like it makes a copy of the cart while I'm not signed in and then another when I AM signed in so ends up duplicating everything...

All that to say that I've more or less learned to 1.) make 100% sure I'm signed into my account before doing anything and 2.) add everything and make my purchase all in one go, rather than trusting the site to save the cart properly for later...

It could be the way the browser is setup on your system. There's an option to delete permanent cookies if it's past a certain age. Well, at least there used to be. I haven't checked out features like that since I quit programming in 2010....

Wow you’re going to be quite busy with all of those enclosures. I use the wishlist feature to manage my carts, I have models I build regularly, so I just add everything I need and then click add to cart however many times for how many I want to build.

I do the same, months of stocking up on what I need for several boards so I only have to do one order every now and then.
My last saved cart though I was updating and instead of clicking the view button I hit delete which was right next to it. All gone. Gutted. I now have to start all over again…..🤦‍♂️

Yesterday I pulled the move where you fill a cart fairly full over the course of an evening, got distracted for an hour, return to find that I wasn't logged in. Cart empty. TAYDERED!

I FEEL your pain. Really do.

Website design 101, don't put the *&^%$# delete button right next to the ... ANY other button.

Drives me nuts with phones, too, where one app puts the backspace button the other app puts the "send" feature... 😾

This month it wasn't Tayda...

Filled my cart for Small Bear's SPOOKY20 only to get an "invalid code" type message when I was filling the cart right down to the wire (but leaving enough time before Halloween ended to CHECK OUT...). Grrrrr

Hopefully you didn't order 1590B enclosures like I did on my first order a couple of weeks ago. I forgot to check and see what all the PCB were designed for. But I only got four so I am sure I can find a couple PCBs to fit and maybe a veroboard project or two. Maybe a Beavis board type pedal too.
