I recently boxed up a Tweed Sound and noticed the scratchy sound on the drive pot. I do not recall this pre-enclosure, but I’m not sure it is something I looked at.
I tried deoxit, but there was no change.
Does anyone know if this is just the way the circuit is? I don’t want to waste my time replacing a pot on a pedal which is working as it should. So, I am asking people smarter than I am.
I recently purchased a bass overdrive pedal with this characteristic. I contacted the builder to ask about it, and it is apparently a side effect of certain design decisions. It has me questioning everything.
