Hello to the humanoids of this website !

I just saw this : https://soundgas.com/product/soundgas-type-636p-grampian-preamp/

Well this would be hell of a cool diy project to do, if it existed...

Do you know of anything similar, with a similar Feature Set and Sound ?
That doesn't come at this price tag, and may be also available just as a pcb ?

Or is anybody here already working on a similar thing ?

Seems like a very very fun little box to have in the arsenal !

Best wishes and kind regards !

Same here, just saw the beginning of the video and was like: “we need a PPCB for this! To the bat cave!” Wait that last part is not right…

I didn't bother with finding out the price of the original thingy (what is it, BTW?), but the schematic was mentioned here; perhaps the price is due to the types of transformers and transistors used?

Here's a gutshot from SoundGas of the dual 636p Grampian:

interesting, nice find. i wonder what makes it worth the money to some people.
same thing any preamp does ... uniqueness "I don't sound like anyone else because I use the preamp from ___ to sweeten my sound."

been aware of that concept since I first started reading guitar world back in the early 90s ... always some obscure piece of hardware

same thing in studio recording/production world. use different stuff, get different sounds; revolutionary!
