Uberfuzz not working

Hey there,

I was wondering if anyone who has successfully built an Uberfuzz could help me get mine working.

I just put one of these together, with 2N5088 transistors. After I built it, I noticed that the board called for 2SC828 transistors, which of course have a different pinout. Removed my transistors, installed sockets, and switched B and C to match the pinout. Unfortunately the pedal is still almost totally dead and is only passing a very weak signal, but only when I am using the square wave output from my scope which has a super hot output compared to a guitar signal. The volume knob and the tone switch are working, as I can hear them affecting the static.

I've tried it with 2N5088, 2N5089, swapped out my diodes, and am still losing the signal at the first transistor. Orientation of all polarized components are correct as far as I can tell and I haven't missed any solder joints.

I've built this circuit before (perfboard) successfully, and this one really has me scratching my head. This is the first Pedal PCB board that I have built that has not worked, which has me bummed.

Any help is appreciated, I need another set of eyes on it. I've attatched a few photos of my board, which is addmittedly a bit of a mess. It was actually one of the cleanest ones I had ever built before I started to re-work it - I have been thoroughly cleaning the boards with Fluxoff, Alcohol, and Distilled water for every build.

I haven't totally given up on this one yet, and have some 2SC1518s on the way that I am going to try.
