VHS LED question

I just completed the VHS and noticed that when the pedal is plugged in to power, even if the footswitch hasn't been engaged, the LED lights representing each control will light up, if the DPDT switches are in the active position. The question is, is there anyway to leave the DPDT switches in the active position but when you disengage the footswitch, all of the LEDs turn off? Basically, I'd like the footswitch to control all LEDs. Not sure if that makes sense, but appreciate any ideas. Thanks!

It was designed this way so you know what to expect before hitting the footswitch.

In order to do what you describe you would need to isolate each of the toggle switches from the ground plane of the PCB entirely. This wouldn't be an easy task since the switches have already been installed into the PCB.... I won't say impossible, but it would require some crafty work with an X-acto knife and will run the risk of damaging the PCB.

If you're feeling lucky, or it bothers you bad enough that it's worth the risk I'll draw up a picture to show you what needs to be done.

Thanks for the reply and that makes sense, re: knowing what to expect. Definitely doesn't bother me enough to risk ruining the PCB. I most likely would. My skill set has only now gotten to the point where my pedals work as they should the first time they're plugged it in, with little or/no trouble shooting. This is a fun pedal though and I can get some interesting sounds out of it, especially with the reverb and chorus cranked up.
