volume knob works on Hyped Boost?

hey guys!
a question regarding the hyped boost:
on the original FZ-2 pedal, the volume knob stops working while on boost mode, so the gain knob takes the role of output volume;

but two things got me really intrigued:

1- the hyped boost project has a volume knob

2- in this video this guy seems to be getting distortion from the pedal

I asked him on the comments, but didn't get any answer, so this is why I'm asking it here;

so in this circuit the gain knob really work as gain? can I also get those fuzz tones from the video?

if yes, this is an instant buy

Yes, the volume works in all three modes. If you're wanting to use the boost as more of an overdrive, consider increasing the value of the gain pot to 100-250kA

whats the effect on changing the pot value? (I'm 100% dummy in electronics, I just follow the instructions)

Increasing it will give you more gain at the higher end of the sweep. Not terribly useful in the fuzz modes, but I like it in the boost mode
