So I know that this has previously been kicked about, but these things are all but gone I think. There is a seller in the UK but they want £20 each for them.

Has anyone found a suitable alternative, opto coupler or LED and LDR combo.

I think xvive still makes them. I'm seeing them as low as $5 but shipping might be a bear. What circuit is it for? that might help determine if a roll-your-own part is a viable option.

It’s for the Demeter Compulator. Where are you seeing them for $5 ??? I literally can’t find any ‘genuine’ ones anywhere.

I received ones that worked just fine from Huayi and I order other stuff regularly from Adele. I don't know if those are stock photos or what. These two are obviously well vetted vendors with strong positive feedback on this item. I've never gotten a part that didn't work, ever, from any vendor, in 30 over years of doing this.

Update - they have arrived - light resistance is anywhere from 200 - 400 ohm, as soon as you take the power out they are up to 20m ohm in seconds. Do we think they are ‘NOT’ in spec 👀

I grabbed them from Huayi, they came from china to uk pretty quick also. How do you you feel they would do in the Compulator with the off resistance being so high ?
