Welcome back my friends to the show that never ends....

Frenzel  That setup is looking good!
Get well soon Mike, give these cells a beating!
Not a lot of folks recognize Frenzel amps. Do you have one? This is my second. The first was the Lil Jessie. I loved it so much that I sold it hahahah. To order the DP525, which has a bit more power. I adore this little amp. It can do the 5E3 thing as well as the plexi thing and the ability to blend both channels with an ABY opens a lot more tonal options.

@MichaelW where do your heads go? Do you send them to a cabinet? If so, what are you using (speakers) because you have a great tone! Also, what's the name of the bottom head?

Keep whooping on cancer. Fuck cancer!
Well one of the downsides of downsizing our house is that I no longer have a dedicated office....(cough cough, music room) heh.
Since I spent the last almost 3 decades of my career working remotely, having an office space was always a priority to our home buying choices.
It was a bonus that my office doubled as my man cave hahah.

Right now, in this house I'm sharing a room as office space with my wife and it's about 1/2 the size of my old space.

All of this background to say, I have no room for a cabinet at the moment. My amp heads go into a Torpedo Captor X and then from there to my Apollo interface. I can play/monitor either through my headphones or my monitors.

BUT, at least I'm playing!

Fuck cancer!

You got that right brother...it sucks. But I'm also very grateful for having access to good health care and having great doctors!

GLAD to see a post from YOU!

I was wondering where you went. Didn't want to pry. I know how bad health can really throw a monkey wrench into the gears of life. I'm cancer free for 17 years since the prostatectomy. The craziest thing is my allergy to eggs was what was really effing my life up. T.G. that's over.

Now at 68, I'm battling age. Aye Carumba! Still in good physical shape, I carried my new 137 pound mixer all by myself from the truck to the kitchen. And I'm 5'6", 150 lbs. Mixer weighs almost as much as I do!!! Hobart bread mixer, not music.

It has the spiral mixer dough hook that REALLY works the dough and doesn't make the mixer wobble like the old D hooks do.

At one point in another life before IT, I used to be a commercial chef for Marriott Corp. We had those Hobarts in my kitchen....I've NEVER EVER considered anyone would use one for "personal use" hahaha.

Oh also, the bottom amp head is my VHT D-Fifty. Basically an affordable Dumble clone. It does the "Dumble Clean" sound remarkably well and I use it primarily as my clean pedal platform.

Arthritis in my fingers. I wanna save those for guitar and bouzouki!

This delivers clay like texture right out of the bowl. Just weigh, roll and pan... And I was in IT all my life, but picked up cooking from the early days of FOOD.TV. It's now morphed into a steaming pile of ***not good programming***, alas.....

Although I baked my first cake when I was 8 and sourdough bread around 11...

With shipping, tax, a new bowl, the spiral hook, and the mixer stand, I spent just slightly less than $2000. Newly refurbished by Mid-Ohio-Bakery. VERY quiet.

Retail new pricing on these are totally insane.... there are bread baking forums and a lot of members have old Hobarts, and do rebuilds. And partially also because a lot of friends and relatives are asking for me to bake bread for them. My old C100 ten quart was very labor intensive. Couldn't put all the flour in at once, and could not go all the way to ready to pan.

I'll be able to get six loaves at once with this one. My first test batch as of last Wednesday. Perfect. Elastic, soft, crunchy crust. Oh yeah!

Yup, I got a PP964 myself, mixing both channels has become an obsession of mine. A friend of mine had a deluxe and the moment I plugged into it I wanted mine, these amps sound great and built like tanks!

Oooo, I like that PP964. How's the tremolo? I need another amp like a hole in the head but that little AC15 with an EF86 on the clean channel sounds heavenly.

I've been on a little hiatus too, just popping in at times to check on build reports. I'm glad to see you back, but I hate to hear about your health issues. I hope it's on the up and up for you.
