Welcome back my friends to the show that never ends....

Just wanted to say hi again to all my pedal friends and give a brief update in the world of Mike Wong.

I needed a break from pedal building and guitars in general and stepped away for a bit.
I haven't been active on this forum but I have been lurking from time to time.

Thank you to all the folks that have reached out to me privately to check in, I really appreciate it.

At the risk of over-sharing non-guitar related stuff, I've had some health issues that came to a head, which in turn has kind of turned my life upside down.
As some of you may know, I'm a multi-cancer survivor, one of which is a form of leukemia (CLL). The disease was stable for about 5 years but last year started taking a turn for the worse and I had to start treatment. I'm on a year long regimen of a targeted immunotherapy treatment with monoclonal antibodies that's supposed to blast the little cancer cell suckers into oblivion. The downside is that, like chemotherapy, the cure can sometimes be worse than the ill. It's been pretty rough on me physically.

As a result, I've retired early, we've downsized our house, and moved 3800sq ft of crap into a 1900 sq ft home.

As much "purging" as I thought we did, I still have way too much crap hahah. We're still slowly unpacking and two months in we still have boxes everywhere.

I did manage to get my studio set up and started playing again. I've even built a couple of pedals! I have a couple of build reports to catch up on so I'll see you over there!

GLAD to see a post from YOU!

I was wondering where you went. Didn't want to pry. I know how bad health can really throw a monkey wrench into the gears of life. I'm cancer free for 17 years since the prostatectomy. The craziest thing is my allergy to eggs was what was really effing my life up. T.G. that's over.

Now at 68, I'm battling age. Aye Carumba! Still in good physical shape, I carried my new 137 pound mixer all by myself from the truck to the kitchen. And I'm 5'6", 150 lbs. Mixer weighs almost as much as I do!!! Hobart bread mixer, not music.

It has the spiral mixer dough hook that REALLY works the dough and doesn't make the mixer wobble like the old D hooks do.
