What’s on *YOUR* workbench?

Working on the Mother of All Amps for an immersive audio control room. 32 channels x 100W unclipped into 4Ohm. 32 XLR balanced ins. No fans.
It's one of those rare times where building a one-off makes sense. An off-the-shelf unit that does exactly what we want would be very hard to find and/or super expensive and/or fan-noisy.

4 channels done in the prototype, 28 more to go :) Using a 4-channel, dual TPA3255 board from Amazon. It happens to have balanced inputs, too. A rare thing.

Blend/mix board in post #2669 has a temp new home:

Signal chain: TRS input from dojo enters on right side, splits to buffered/HPF'ed piezo pickup ----> Pie volume, second split is passthough to Mag send jack at bottom, which goes to one of my WTHPF boxes then to Mag return volume pot. Gain is for blended signal at output jack. Lots more config possibilities, just getting started here really.

Enclosure should be black and white, with a hint of blue... 😉

Alas, I'm finally getting something off of my workbench. I previously mentioned this project here and here. I ripped apart my old RG270 that I bought some time back in the mid-90s and replaced everything. New Gotoh tuners, nut, and tremolo (which is 1000% improvement over the stock trem). New pickups and an unnecessarily complicated wiring scheme with a 5-way and push/pull vol and tone for series/parallel neck and bridge phase. Cramming all that into the rear cavity and getting it soldered up with those gigantic CTS push/pull pots was a bit of a challenge. The neck got a level, crown, and polish ala MichaelW and I even used his technique for dealing with a bit of a hump where it bolted on. I switched it from HSH to HH, which meant I needed a pickguard, but there wasn't a pickguard on the 270 and pickguards from other RG models didn't line up, so I used my CNC to cut one to precisely fit. Lessons were learned and it's fun to play this one again after it sat in the closet for many years.
