What’s on *YOUR* workbench?

I guess I'm a noob; I just assumed that discrete saddles would give you the best intonation control. Maybe I'm wrong?
Oh sorry I lost the train of the conversation for a minute. You are correct. I think the compensated ones will give you that vintage look and also better intonation. Some people think they also sound different although I am not sure how much that could affect the tone.

Discrete saddles will give you the best control, Compensated 3 saddles will get you “close enough” - closer than the standard 3 saddle bridge, but will retain the stock look and bridge (and some say they sound different than the 6 saddle bridges).
Both solutions are pretty good though!

Boosty McBuffer in its first home.

I really have to make a demo video. Even just playing with the variable input Z and already it's a major tone changer.

EDIT: I really recommend that you should try something as high as 10M input Z with humbuckers some day, with no other load on the pickups (crucially, not even a cable, so it has to be onboard). No tone pot (or a no-load, like I used), and the volume pot after the buffer. Turns molasses into tequilla! Brightest humbuckers I ever heard. Who needs buzzy singles?
