What’s on *YOUR* workbench?

Is that Flanger board available for purchase?
+1
Been looking over the different diy electric mistress flavors to move to the front of the build queue (for some Rush stuff I plan on doing in December) and this one has been catching my eye every time I see chuck’s thread pop up. The Madbean one seems rad too, but you can’t go wrong with a @Chuck D. Bones original

No purchase necessary, see store for details, batteries not included, AND if you can hold out another week or so, I should have two additional flavors to send with it. 😉

A flanger isn’t too efficient on batteries anyway, so that’s no problem 😉
I’m in no rush at all (heh, ironic since my Electric Mistress quest is for Rush-related purposes), so I can certainly wait. Two additional flavors? Sounds like a Neapolitan mix to me! Mmmm… Chocolate (ironically I’m not such a fan of chocolate irl)

You say “see store for details,” but my current schedule isn’t quite conducive to daytripping to the Tar Heel State—any chance you’ll take the Starbucks route and have a Fig Labs kiosk on every corner? I’d surely be stopping by there on the daily 😂

Not flavors of flangers Flanders!
Just different circuits….not All My Circuits, nor all my circuits, but some for certain….two, not because I have to, but too, because I have two , you see?
I got two good eyes, but I still don't see. (I don't know where that lyric comes from, but it popped into my head.) EDIT: It appears I adapted a line from "Casey Jones" by the Grateful Dead. A song I haven't heard in 20+ years.

And I agree with @Barry said, you are too kind.

Chop chop, get busy buddy. 😂
So very well played.

I only just realised that this thread is different than that other guys's "What's On the Bench" type thread.
Sorry to hijack but I think it's cool to see what everyone's up to.

As for me, I need to find an enclosure that will fit all these once populated.

@peccary can help with that, he's got a sheet-metal brake and probably would love a new practice-challenge.

Right, going to finish going through the rest of this thread now that I know of its existence, and being mutually exclusive of the other one.

Yup, Robert’s “what’s on the workbench” thread was meant to be a thread showcasing what new pedals he’s tracing and the development of new boards, but many people, myself included, frequently hijacked the thread to post what’s on our own benches. I created this thread hoping that it would allow for our host’s thread to be returned to it’s original purpose— official PPCB business —while this thread could serve for everyone to share and discuss whatever they’re working on, and hopefully encourage more people to share what they’re doing!

But what Bricks did not consider is that I hold a grudge, like forever, so I'll just start posting in here from now on. :ROFLMAO:

So today we have the MXR Custom Badass '78 Distortion, thanks to one of our kind members here.... and it's a good thing, because I've found a value or two different from the existing trace.

Well, looks like I only missed the first and fifth pages, as I found my comments all over the rest of the thread.

As for what's on my bench, well it wasn't my bench it was my friend's welding bench, and I burst my cherry yesterday...

MY FIRST WELD EVER!

SNAKES ALIVE! Still an improvement over the first one.

MUCH BETTER!
Yet still lots of room for improvement, lots more were like the first, a smattering of the snake and a few good ones like the last.

Project was some basic storage-rackage. Three of us building the racks in a fourth friend's garage, none of us professional welders — as one friend said: "The blind leading and teaching the blind." Sure as hell are blind once that helmet comes down over your face and eyes. Was on my bucket list.

I left the bicycle industry before I got a chance to learn welding, so this was exceptionally cool to be able to try it in an informal setting where the end-product wasn't going to the alter of public consumption/criticism. I've always loved and appreciated well-made welds on bike frames (car & motorcycles, too), but of course that appreciation always goes up leaps and bounds after trying something yourself — such as building pedals, amps and instruments.

Sure was fun, and I look forward to doing more welding in future, I could use the practice.
