What’s on *YOUR* workbench?

Designed this circuit/pcb myself. First set of boards I ordered I spaced the potentiometers too close together. Did a complete re-layout of the board and didn't take into account that the 1/4" jacks and DC jack might interfere with the pcb. Started to test fit it the other day. I'm going to have to drill another hole for the the DC jack above the current one to try to make it work. I haven't tested the output jack and how close it comes to those electrolytic caps.

Bought a non-functioning MXR Carbon Copy for $20. Starting to check it over. LEDs light up and an unaffected signal passes through when activated. That’s a new one for me. Knobs do nothing, power is good- replacing the power Jack because it’s a little corroded and dirty.

There was a thing with these not having static protection for the mosfets at one point, might be a good place to look.

I remember seeing a thread on TGP a while ago, someone opened up their pedal and saw the trim pots and started adjusting them (that’s where the tone hides), it stopped doing delays so they made a thread asking how to make it work again.

I think I saw that. There was one guy that said to buy a new one, copy all the trim pot settings and either return it or sell it. He didn’t understand their purpose no matter how it was explained to him and didn’t believe that each pedal would get adjusted because they wouldn’t spend that much time on a $150 pedal. 🤦🏼‍♂️

From my probing, it looks like a few JFETs have been fried from a static electricity issue. Good thing I bought that SMD practice solder kit. We’ll see if that works along with a few other components.
