Don't go too crazy, this might increase your stomach's capacity.I'm gonna eat some caps like jelly beans
Better than capping your ass though!Don't go too crazy, this might increase your stomach's capacity.
Or busting your knee caps!Better than capping your ass though!
That is some fantastic ingenuity and production right there. Is that acrylic paint for the indicator, or something more indelible?Made a silicone mold for some knobs. I’ve been wanting to try and cast the brass knurled fittings directly into the knob.
I been working on a jig to drill the side/screw holes through the knob and brass insert. The idea is to strap the knob in and stand the jig on end, then drill on drill press. Tapping the screw holes in the inserts is the next thing on the list to tackle.
Those aren't the ones I've cast. Those are purchased knobs I was using to test. Hopefully I’ll make time tonight to cast a set. That is some fantastic ingenuity and production right there. Is that acrylic paint for the indicator, or something more indelible?
I have one of those enclosures but I put the footswitch where you put the knobs. I dremeled out the screw column things to make room for pcb. I did a hack job but it turned out alright.Decided to finally use this weird enclosure I’ve had for a while. Kinda cool. If I get another one, I’ll move the footswitch up and make room for a battery like it’s made for I guess.

I thought about that at first, but it would’ve made it too easyI have one of those enclosures but I put the footswitch where you put the knobs. I dremeled out the screw column things to make room for pcb. I did a hack job but it turned out alright.
Maybe too much butter on the transistors? Try olive oil, it's healthier.....Found a buttery set for a tonebender (reverse order, because I'm detail oriented …?)
Q3, Q2, Q1
183, 95, 68

Messed about with some other combos including low-gain silicon NPNs. Fun, but not as creamy as the combo above

short story: this is the first Tonebender I've ever built, breadboard or otherwise (shocking). I've laid out PCBs of varying circuit types, vero, and proto projects of even other fuzzes, but not the Tonebender. Figured I should do one.
I spent this weekend trying to get this h*ckin thing to work. Tried a battery based positive ground from several drawing, then a charge pump version (this one). Thought the circuit was just allergic to me or something. Turns out histamine wasn't the problem. Turns out this does NOT like my chonky 2N2904s in Q1. They'll work great in Q2 and/or Q3. Once I popped one of the salvaged germs it fired right up.
How are you doing the neck pockets? Is it a standard F style? Man, I'd love to build a Novo clone with some P90's.Carved this guy out today, it’s Northern Ash, with a Poplar back, and Old growth Redwood stripe my friend gave me, he said it probably came from a 1000 year old tree, got it at an estate sale locally. I know the strip is a little off centered, but so am I lol
Right. I just laid it out and drilled the holes as I went.Did it come without any pre-drilling?
