What’s on *YOUR* workbench?

I found some possible equivalents, if this blog can be believed. Ctrl+F S34746

Thanks. I think I read 549c as an alternative as well.
Not to worried about the transistors at the moment. Need to sort the PSU. Hopefully whatever took out the fuses didn't burn anything else up. Would be a real pain to rework anything on those boards. Was hopeful it would have 88 golden unicorn transistors in it worth harvesting if it wasn't repairable. 😉

Bought a broken Slash Cry Baby wah. I mainly bought it for the shell. I am going to make a MBP Univibe in the wah shell.

However, I was going to try to fix it. The pedal turns on, but there isn’t any sound. It works in bypass. There isn’t much found about this issue, but I found one Spanish speaking YouTube about it. I was able to understand enough to determine there is an issue with the power source at R22. My voltages were similar to the video, so I gave it a go. Well….I got lucky; it works! Now, I might still need to get a blank wah shell… 🤣

Wait did you have to add that resistor?

Bass Rockman rehouse update:
I managed to do a partial transplant of the original label, for more vintage toan ;)
Using 3-way rotary switches instead of the horrible original sliders.

Will be digging into this after the kiddos go to bed tonight. Craigslist find. Guy said it’s been in his closet for the last 45 years. Said it doesn’t power on, I didn’t bother asking for details. Also came with a 2x10 Kingston cab. Lightest cabinet I’ve ever lifted. Of course he butchered the plug View attachment 65516View attachment 65517View attachment 65519View attachment 65518
That must be one dirty closet! I just recapped a Bassman Ten 50w version, looks very similar. So, what kind of tubes? 45 year old must be something great.

I got this EHX Bass Preacher compressor for pocket change since it’s not working. Took it apart and this voltage regulator starts cooking as soon as it’s plugged in. I know they get warm, but it’s almost like a shock. Going to try replacing it to see if that does the trick. Can’t seem to find a schem anywhere. I don’t know if it’s even a good pedal or not.

I was pretty happy when I saw that for the amp that “didn’t turn on”. Could be the easiest fix possible. Probably still do a cap job etc though.
Not having seen the thing, I suspect it'll take a little more than getting that broken fuse out of the holder, but if that and a little clean up is all it takes, then congratulations are in order!
