What’s on *YOUR* workbench?

This is a multichannel volume controller I built for my day job some 5 years ago. The blue board is the brain which I found on eBay. The daisy-chained red boards are my design and contain some nice (and very pricey) TI volume control chips. The problem is, every year or so, the brain would decide to go crazy. Random relay clicks, erratic response to controls. You'd give the box a few well-placed whacks and it would tend to come back to normal (the "Eastern European fix"). Then you couldn't make it happen again, so it was hard to actually diagnose. This year no amount of whacks would fix it, so I had to really dig in. It turned out to be a dodgy connector between the brain and the front panel! A just slightly intermittent contact. Got rid of the connector, soldered the wires, and AT LONG LAST it's fixed for good!

What if it does it again in a couple of months?🤣

Hey everyone!

So I’ve been wanting an arcade-like enclosure for a long time as Im a huge fan of old game consoles! I think it came out fantastic for a first try!

As for the material I used. I went with 18ga steel for the body and 4mm aluminum for the walls.

I figured for the holidays I make a few more of these and give them away. I haven’t worked out the details whether or not it will be a contest or if I’m doing a raffle yet but I planned on making 3 of these to giveaway to the forum! Hope you guys like! Let me know any suggestions you guys have on hole layout or if I should just leave them blank for the builder to decide what he/she wants to put in them!
