What’s on *YOUR* workbench?

Finished wiring up this Frajeelay for a friend in an NYC black metal band last night. She loves her RAT but wanted something thst could maintain lows better (she's the bassist). @DGWVI 's clean blend improvement mod saved the day! Thanks to @comradehoser for posting about it sometime ago and to Tim not just for coming up with it, but also for clarifying my incorrect resistor choice when I consulted him directly. I gotta build one of these for myself!

Dig the color scheme. Flat black and purple... Classy!

Yeah to be honest I don't understand the love some people have for Campy control ergonomics. I get the "one lever per function" philosophy but the thumb lever is just not it and I don't get it. For me it's the same as the old Shimano Sora which was godawful and why would you make this a deliberate choice on your high-end products? So much potential and the execution is just not there IMO.

So disappointed with Campy. My hands rest here...

And the thumb shifter is here...

I have never tried a campagnolo groupset. I’ve had a few SRAM groupsets on bikes but IMO shimano are just the best.
I have always preferred SRAM for road because I was a big fan of the DoubleTap mechanism, and they do still have a bit of an edge in electronic shifting. But I have been rocking the 12spd Shimano 105 and it's pretty much flawless: smooth, silent, inexpensive, comfortable, reasonably lightweight, what more do you want.

Sram AXS isn't half bad either.

We need to do a cycling related thread lest we make everyone want to run us over with their cars.

I have GRX 12sps and also really like it. I really prefer working on Shimano stuff also.

After lots of slow, hand-rubbed blending and Threeish coats of hard wax oil.

Probably gonna need to do another one or two to make the gloss pop.

Also, shielding about as best I can. Gonna use P90s with no hole jazzmaster covers, cause A) I didn't realize that jazzmaster pickups were actually a different form factor than p90s and B) I've got two Bare Knuckle 'Pig 90's ready to turn this thing into a shred machine.

More like, Thicccline metawlzmaster. 1000058484.jpg

Dura ace at 105 prices obviously 😅
