What footswitch do I need here?

I have a providence stv-1 pedal I'm looking to change the footswitch on because the one it comes with is awful. It came stock with this alpha footswitch. I'm guessing the "M" is momentary?

It's a dpdt switch but I'm not sure of the momentary operation pattern I need or if it even needs dpdt. Anyone have an idea if this will work in it's place? https://stompboxparts.com/footswitches/spdt-footswitch-momentary-fpf71/

It only has two of the lugs wired up and I just really want a nice soft click compared to the almost locked up click the current alpha switch has.

I did try a latching dpdt switch I have, but I had to double click to turn it on and double click to turn it off.

The "M" stamped on the side means momentary, but you're correct it's definitely not using both poles so you could get away with a momentary SPST or SPDT if it fits in there.
