If you don't have a Harmonic Tremolo, then I recommend it. It's pretty trippy, because it adds a phaser or uni-vibe like effect. I have a "regular" tremolo and find I don't have much need for the choppy sound it gives, but the harmonic tremolo can substitute for a different flavor of phaser.

Ok this really caught my attention. I was using an octave down in the band I was in until the pandemic. I don't know anything about the OC2, never even heard of it, but I'm a certified boss hater. I'm gonna have to look into this more. With the right combo, it could be my ultimate "whole board in one pedal in a giant enclosure" solution 🤔

I like big enclosures. This is likely to happen one way or another. I have way more spare 1590bbs than anyone should have

The Fuzz Aldrin is mind boggingly good. Versatile in a “you’ll ACTUALLY use those tones” instead of versatile in the “interesting sound I’ll never set this pedal to again after I dime the fuzz.”

I have yet to hear a demo of it that captures the tone bender mkii like fuzz thunder that I love dialing in with mine. “Dark side fuzz” is accurate, but the most buried lede of the century.

I can’t shut the fuck up about this pedal. Every other word out of my mouth since boxing it up is just “skreddy.” I’m even more insufferable than usual.

If you could toggle/dial in an octave fuzz ala super/hyper fuzz I’d want to be buried with it.

I think everyone should build one. If not several. I ordered a 3rd pcb earlier today to do a screwdriver (2nd will be a hybrid fuzz)

I have a tc electronic sentry but haven't used it in years and years. I don't mind a little noise, but also this might be fun to do sometime just cuz

Golden Falk - Yeah, another MIAB, but this one blew me away and I don't get blown away too often. This is hands down my absolute favorite right now, I've been telling everyone about it. Burgs has a demo on YouTube, it sounds every bit as good in person.

Modus Operandi - Very nice boost, if you're into that sort of thing... one of those "always on" type of pedals that makes me frown at my amp when I switch it off. Not much to listen to here in terms of clips...

Any chance the unison double tracker will be back in stock soon?

I used to be a boss hater for years. They actually are great pedals that have gotten a bad rap from haters. I built an OC-2, and own a boss OC-3. Both are great and stable octave pedal.

I also had no use for boss until the oc2. I owned a ds1, odb3, the little red looper and tried one of the processors for a minute but didn't bond with any of it. I always coveted the vb2 but couldn't find an authentic one I could afford (even the waza is $237) so that's another Boss circuit worth your consideration. VIIB does not disappoint.

The Foxxy Fuzz is by far the best octave fuzz I have tried - built one as a request for a friend and was very impressed. The Fuzz Aldrin is a Fuzz Face but so much improved it almost sounds like an overdrive. Skreddy pedals are amazing. The Dark Esbat boost is ridiculously good as a, well, boost. It can make a mild OD become a fire-breathing monster, or turn it into a Beatles sound.

The there's the Pro-10 Blue. Easily the best Bluesbreaker style OD I have heard.

OMG! Are you a kindred overdrive hater?! We are rare! I dont get overdrive, or compressors, like at all. I already have a tube amp so every "tube emulating" pedal is moot for testing. I think gain stacking is silly, and I play high gain styles of music. That whole "tube screamer goose" thing is a bs conspiracy to sell more noise gates. If I want juice I turn my amp up or use a single quiet running high gain distortion.
 
I suggest the Conqueror. It’s a really nice preamp with an interesting cocked wah sound (that you can tame) and an interesting distortion circuit. And it’s based on a Vox amp used by the Beatles.

Ok I just put in an order because of the coupon code and got a hydra, chop shop, and ocelot. I will get the unison double tracker when it comes back in stock with the remainder of my gift card.

I'm still interested in a lot of the other projects suggested here. My backlog is pretty huge, but feel free to keep suggesting stuff!

The Supreme is just the same as the Conqueror with only one foot switch. Which I think is the right configuration (I don’t find the two extra switches super useful).
