What would u stack with "Informant"?

Working on an informant and I have an enclosure from a previous build already drilled for 3 knob layouts for 2 builds..... what would you throw in as a combo build?... Might already have the pcb from my stash because I have a serious backlog/pcb collection..lol
 
I made an Informant- I pull it out now and then but don’t connect with it as much as my rats.

Maybe throw a yats in front of it?
 
I have an informant hooked up right now and I’ve been digging it.

General Tso> Informant> magnetron delay

Two good combos there but not really the most logical 2 in 1.

I imagine you want a double gain stage thing? I think people like rat into muff?
 
hmmmm... yea just looking for a fun dirt combo to throw in one box for gain staging... something that may play well together.
 
I pulled the informant out because of this… I’m enjoying it more than I remember.

Looking through my 3 knobbers, I put a BB Gun in front of it and it was fun.
 
When I made a combo build for a friend I put a SHO after. A nivel/LVL in front could be fun since they’re kind of of a piece. Down a knob though.

What I liked to use in front was a simulcast—the simulcast benefits from the low pass filter and the informant benefits from the low cut.

I like that SHO idea. Add some clipping diodes to the SHO (MadBean had a circ like that, IIRC, and I've seen others). Put the diodes on an AMZ-WARP pot and add a master volume and you've got a really cool 3-knob dirty boost!

I've never ordered thisBBgun pcb but it looks like I'm gonna add it to my next cart to check it out!

i kinda like this idea.. I think I have some tiny oshpark sho boost I might can dig up and modify
 
I haven't populated my Informant but I really like the Eternity Burst(Lovetone Eternity) as a pre drive boost. It does the YATS as a boost thing really well. Cheap, easy build. There were dozens of versions to explore. I did up the input cap on the PPCB BOM to 82n IIRC because baritone. And if you don't love it, you're only out a buck and a half of parts after you pull the opamp.
 
I've never tried stacking them but I'm a huge fan of the Vemuram Karen. Especially if you use a smaller Gain pot. Has all the low end thump the Rat doesn't.
