What's for dinner?

1/2 butternut pumpkin, 5 zucchinis, and a leek,
in a baking dish, salt+pepper, drizzle oil + couple knobs of butter.
bake for 1 hour (the veggies too)
chuck it all in a pot.

you have soup.
serve with baked rolls + butter and cheese to sprinkle wherever you want cheese to be

I have a 7 year old and 2 year old. I’ve trained the 7 year old to like steak and shrimp. He really has no choice. So the 2 year old is coming along. But the 7 year old will eat lbs of shrimp. So we started doing a garlic butter with herb shrimp and steak kabob.

You can always throw in some slices of bread to thicken if it's too watery. I have a kitchenaid wand blender. You think you don't need it till you get one, then it's like 'how did I cook without this thing???'

Great for DIY baby or cat/dog food.

+1 there. We did some tomato soup a couple nights ago, and the want makes it as smooth or rustic as one would want
You used Roma tomatoes? They make the best soups, salsas and pasta sauces. Hands down! I just dump a couple pounds into a stock pot, give 'em a slight squeeze with potato masher, then simmer at low heat until they cook. Then it's wand blender time! I like to add some fresh squeezed lemon juice to pasta sauce and it just brightens the flavor up and makes it POP. And of course some thyme and rosemary..... not that found of oregano but occasionally I'll add some Thai Sweet Basil that grows wild in my backyard........

edited: And I roast the garlic in butter in a pan prior to blending....

Always saw them used on cutthroat kitchen. I pulled the trigger on one after some frustration with the regular blender. I love my stick blender.
