What's for dinner?

Yeah. But I have a baking steel for that. And also a pizza oven that's meant for gas ranges. Don't have a gas range but have a 72K BTU propane burner. This one. But with legs. I've heated the "oven"(just a dome with a stone in it) to over 900F before and cooked a pizza in 1.5 minutes. ;)
660-680 seems to be the magic range though.

Also, I couldn't imagine trying to clean off all the burnt on fat on a stone insert, breakage, etc. Too many opportunities to mess it up. Why's this bread taste like bbq sauce?

Yeah, you don't want your smoked meats dripping goo on your stone, but the komodo style grills make great pizza ovens.

Grabbed takeout from my favorite hawaiian place called Gindz Wit Tryz. Kalbi ribs, Ono chicken, Mac salad, white rice. Not pictured are the spam musubi that my kids got to before I took these pics.

This is a Korean dish called meat Jun. Basically just thin strips of beef dipped in a crepe-ish batter and deep fried with vinegar and chili dipping sauces. Super super good, I ate until I hated myself a little.

So how bad were the resulting meat sweats and constipation? How much more did you hate yourself?

The meat sweats definitely made an appearance right before a brief paralysis but thankfully my guts are like iron until I start going beyond habanero levels of heat. I once got my photo put up on the wall of a restaurant and though those "great balls of fire" hush puppies were free, I paid dearly.

🤪

I just had some "Banana Bread" visiting my Mom the other night!

She had one (1) overly ripe banana and threw it in with the makings of a regular loaf of bread.

So it wasn't "Banana Bread" and yet it was real-deal banana bread that was bananas.

Super subtle, I couldn't place the taste until she told me what it was exactly.

Tasted good, but I still would've preferred "Banana Bread" as most know it.

Chicken wings out of the oven before being tossed in a Buffalo sauce composed of Frank's Red Hot. Butter, and chopped garlic, and sprinkled with chives.
When I do them them in the oven I steam them first for about 10 minutes, then refrigerate for 30 minutes or so, then roast and toss in the same concoction. Think I got it from an Alton Brown video.

Winner winner, chicken wing dinner! I use the same method for baking them. I was too lazy to fry them that evening.

Mud Bugs! A friend has a Crawfish Boil every year on St Patrick's weekend, yummy! I'm the fat guy in a black tee on the right, Vikki has the purple highlights to my right.View attachment 70957
The best way to celebrate an Irish holiday is to not eat it's food. My wife insists on having corned brisket, cabbage, carrots and potatoes.

I made myself Colcannon mash (with broccolini) to avoid the cabbage which never sits right. It looked pretty but bleh!
