What's in the mailbox? 📬 📦

Yeehaw! A package from C2CE (formerly a division of Sushi Box) arrived today! I'm so happy that I managed to snag one of these gorgeous enclosures. Pictures don't do it justice, it's so sparkly! I wasn't originally going build myself an Ubershall but after seeing this I just had to have it :)

Also arrived: A pile of PCBs from PedalPCB! I was too excited to get them organized into their project bags to take a picture. Hope everyone is having a great week!
 
Cool mail days today and yesterday.

Yesterday, my order from Brian (1947transistor2012) on Ebay arrived. It was a modest order for some transistors I needed for a couple of SandSpur fuzz builds that I'm experimenting with some different transistors. (BC183 and BC109)

Even with my modest orders with him, he usually sends me some samples of stuff to try. Smart businessman because he knows I'll be back. But also cool guy.

I haven't measured anything yet but now I want to try those Telefunken BC108C's in my already built Sand Spur:) (AnalogMan SunFace BC108)

Next my orders from @Robert arrived today. Another cool guy that sends me samples... :ROFLMAO: . And of course a smart businessman too!

Aside from what I ordered, Sand Spur boards for some experimenting, and Red Herring boards for experimenting...) Robert sent me his new 1590B top jack template. I haven't tried it yet but just checking it against a borked enclosure it looks good. I'll be using it for my next 1590B build.

He also sent me his new "IDGAF v1" power board. I think the name is hilarious, heh. Not sure how I'm going to use this yet, mulling it over.

My dad gave me his first 12 string and a nice Martin acoustic. They just got here today…. This guild 12 string has mojo for days. I need to fix one tuner and restring it. The Martin is a newer one but it sings. image.jpg

It came into my brain immediately and unfortunately could not be stopped — I totally read the post to the tune of Byran Adums "Slummer of 69" — you all know the one — AND SO, if I must suffer that unbidden vile torment, so must you all.

Was his mind being controlled by some nefarious Super Power, or is he complicit with this subtle form of evil torture.
I'll just say — the year is right in his forum-handle; a long-con game of penetrating the forum to gain our trust before perpetrating this crime of subliminal grey-matter guidance...

Needed a guitar specific pre with cab sim and xlr for this church gig I’ve been doing and am still not ready to go digital. Pretty excited to give it a try. Now I just need an extension cab so I can run a stage monitor. A General Tso board for yet another (hopefully more successful than previous) go round with compressors and some adapter boards for sim SMD chips and FETs

Lol haha I actually really like that Bryan Adam’s album. I may have subconsciously done it or maybe they really are in control of my brains. That track with Tina Turner “it’s only love” is a fucking banger…. I think. 18 year old me would kick my own ass for saying that but these days I’m not ashamed to admit it.

I have the 125b jigs/ templates and I use the hell out of the I/O power jack one… it’s such a handy tool especially if you build at the volume you do.
