Straight from the mailbox to the workbench...
The rubber band that was serving as a belt fell off. I already had parts on the way, so shouldn't be a big deal, but the listing did say it played tapes, and I was excited to hear it.

Probably was worn enough that it slipped off bouncing around in the back of a hot delivery truck.

It wasn't even a worn belt, it was a regular tan rubber band someone threw on there when the original belt broke.
I'm not upset about it though, I made an offer on a sketchy listing fully expecting a project. The seller seems to sell mostly thrift store clothes, and all they said was that it played tapes, not that it had been serviced or anything. Other than the worn rubber parts everything seems functional.

How do you store 35 portastudios? Is there a pile? How fast are you turning these over??

There is a pile. The shipping boxes are the big space killer. It only takes me a couple hours to refurbish one if I have the time, which has been scarce lately. Waiting for stuff in the mail (like replacement power supplies) slows things down quite a bit

Not in the mailbox, but a used fullsize slant 4x12 for $75. I think it is/was a Crate. No matter what, no MDF to be found.
-Currently wired 16ohm, I plan on putting a stereo/mono jack plate on it.
-Speakers will get replaced with some british flavored WGS, eventually.
-Definitely putting casters back on it.
Way more cabinet than I need but where would I get a decent 1x12 or 2x12 for that price. Figure I can at least use it as a guide for DIYing my own cab later.

First of two cheap / battered Memphis Suns. Glad to see four B10K pots and nothing "exotic". Two will be hooked together with dual gangs and a dpdt switch. After this, experimentation with a 360 degree phase shifter on one channel. Or maybe a type of ultra short delay line. Future will tell what works best for running two of the same reverbs parallel after a stereo source.
Was thinking of putting it in the same box with my stereo Arkaim (with order switch), after my 4PDT Bypass + LED boards are in. Pretty much a pitch black and oppressive counterpart to the psychedelic stereo Low Tide + Boss Dimension C unit that's in the making.

Yeah! I was wondering about that too. Maybe a certain amount of "mismatch" on certain pots might work in favor of my idea? We'll have to see. I suppose it's not going to be a thing that's done in an evening or two. .Have to thank you also for the input / inspiration of getting that slight delay in there! Wouldn't have been able to figure out where to start otherwise!
