What's in the mailbox? 📬 📦

At first I was stricken with curiousity, then I read "meequalizer" and lost interest.
It's cheesy, but it's the same 3 band that's in damn near every piece of jm gear. Supposedly very close to an original design from the early 60s that was one of the, if not the first recording console EQs. I think they branded it originally in the late 80s/early 90s? If feels like it's from the era of animated California Raisins anyway. Anyway, long after the man died in the late 60s(via murder suicide).
He was a character, for sure.

Yep.
It is a fairly large box. 12x12x24 or 10x10x18 maybe. Not sure. I exaggerate..
It wasn't all that heavy. I recall thinking "that's about a healthy newborn"
It retrospect, it was already broken.
Or maybe they proactively billed me for the 7 times it would go through Springfield.
But why?

USPS sucks. I don't know why this happens. I mean FedEx figured it out, why can't USPS?
Not true, last month I had 3 separate packages from separate companies all sent using FedEx, all fuck up royally. One left MA, went to San Francisco, then to the Midwest. The other two said they would be delivered on a certain day, both arrived over a week later.

EAE Halbert. I see this on so many pedalboards on Reddit and the demos sounded really good. Awesome sounding pedal. And the enclosure color is one of the coolest finishes I have ever seen.
I play a lot of single coils and I am quite annoyed by that single coil noise when stacking drives. I searched for a small noise gate and came across the Fortin Mini Zuul Noise Gate. Easily the best Noise gate I have ever used. That key input is such a game changer. I stacked 5 drive pedals while playing my Strat and it was dead quiet.

And last but not least some new PCBs for my ever growing PCB collection :ROFLMAO:

No kidding. They have a major hub in Memphis. "Stuck in Memphis" is a colloquial term in my industry at this point.

FedEx is consistently late for me. I add a day minimum to the ETA, it doesn't matter the time of year, weather, or where it's coming from.... there is going to be a delay.

UPS is generally on time, to a fault. If a package arrives in my city ahead of the ETA they will hold it at the local UPS depot until the day it was supposed to be delivered. They refuse to give me better service than I paid for.

USPS is a new adventure every day.

DHL is generally on time and problem free, but they pulled some crazy customs BS on my most recent shipment and it is now one week behind schedule. This was a first, out of hundreds of orders, and has been an absolute nightmare.

When I'm working on anything, I usually have the layout on my computer monitor and I'm off to the right. So if I have to hit a key on the keyboard, I'm not in position to do it by feel. I have worn the letters off of my THIRD microsoft wireless keyboard which makes this very difficult.

Solution at half the price. Not wireless but I really don't need that anyway.
