What's in the mailbox? 📬 📦

Some cases I’ve been waiting for arrived. I should be able to drop a couple of final build reports this weekend, and I bought a couple of mules to use for standard layout pedals.
and Schottky diodes. Not sure how I almost ran out of those…

Maybe my own coinage, but from my Road & Track/ Automobile magazine teenage years I recall a mule as test platform for design ideas. So I bought a couple of cases with some of the common control layouts drilled to use to check PCBs when I have things built for which I haven't come up with case design. I also used these as a chance to try some new color paints.

So i might have over did it. Newark had some crazy good deals on kemet film caps. And i was low on a couple values that I use a lot of. And well some of them were just too cheap to pass up. I think i’m set for awhile.
I am proud of you buddy!

I did that on close out Keystone brand turrets. I thought I never would run out. I ran out.

Mean while in my mailbox, loaded Bass VI body:

I slagged Fender offsets in the G&L thread. I stand by what I said, the Tele and Strat are superior designs. I got here because I have been eyeing an aluminum neck from Aluminati. I was thinking SG or V, but a bolt on SG or V kind of seems silly so I got a LTD Viper instead. Love it. But I still wanted something with an aluminum neck. Bass?? I didn't want an actual bass because I tend to never pick those up. I actually owned a Pawnshop Bass VI at one point. It was clunky af. Hated the trem lol.

Anyway, I started looking around and found a company that makes hardtail plates and ordered one. I have raw stainless steel replacements coming for the control plates too. The pickup switch plate is configured for a 5 way.

I also ordered a set of pickups from Tone Hatch, he is going to make me a NMB set with Seattle '93 specs:
