What's your current headache?

We have a completely new electronic healthcare records system that rolled out with no beta testing or training at the VA hospital. What a nightmare, everything is connected to it and every department is struggling to get things working. I just wanted to take my lunch in peace but my headphones are charging. We live in such a selfish society. I'm just gonna leave this here. Guy was asked to turn it down in the cafeteria by the guy working there but told him to fuck off. Thank you for your service 🫡🤡

This is annoying--while the convenience of wireless bluetooth earphones is nice, as the battery decays they become useless, meanwhile I have a drawer of good quality wired phones that should've lasted me a lifetime.

Seriously... give me my damn output jacks back. I also miss playing cds and dvds on laptops.

I knocked over can of wood stain today while I was applying it to the cab for the amp I'm building. Most of it spilled on my foot. Lucky, I was barefoot I guess? So naturally I just put a couple of the latex gloves I had on hand on my feet. Neighbors probably got a kick out of that. I still managed to track a bit of stain on the floor as I walked across the apartment to the bathroom to clean my foot off. Managed, to clean the floor and fix the cabinet before the stain set in but the bathtub has darkish stain on the bottom now. That was the first thing my wife noticed when she got home. She was like "Were you painting in the bathtub?" And I was like "hell no! I'm not that stupid..." as I lay on the couch with my still somewhat stained foot propped up in the air. The foot told her the whole story before I could get another word in and she burst out laughing.

Lately I spend all day at work wishing I was at home to work on one of my projects, but when I get home, I'm too tired and unmotivated to do any of them. I just want to sleep.

I have an appt next week with the doc to discuss a sleep apnea study. I'm hoping this is the source of my lack of energy

Some folks have a tough time adjusting to having a hose strapped to your face but give it time if it bothers you. It made such a drastic difference to how I sleep that the minor inconvenience that I still deal with is just that...minor. Wouldn't consider sleeping without it now and my wife loves it because absolutely no snoring or noise.

Minor one. Went to the grocery store and left with my hand somehow smelling like some gold chain musky cologne. No idea where from, but man, if it's enough to leave a territory marker, you've got you much on…

My little 2015 Spark EV developed a very concerning rattle/kick/big thump when decelerating. It felt like a really bad motor mount, but I couldn't get under the car to have a good look for months because Canadian winter and no garage. Finally a nice day yesterday, so I crawled under. Turns out that rust + way too much torque = failed weld on the subframe bracket that the motor mount attaches to. After briefly considering and nixing the proverbial duct tape, I strapped it to the subframe using several long, stainless steel hose clamps. Will have to find a welder to do a more permanent job, but at least I can drive it for now without fearing that I'll drop the motor on the road any second... Look at this carnage:

I used to look for pedal artwork by searching google images using simple prompts and just clicking on random images until I found some cool ones. AI generated images have taken over the search results though. I have to scroll through dozens of shitty AI images with the same boring color splash background before I find one image created by an actual human. Luckily I have a folder on my computer full of cool artwork that I saved from the before the AIpocalypse. I can't wait till AI hype dies off. AI is for cucks.

That’s rough.

Hah, some dude here blaring stupid reels a few seats over, surrounded by other folk. Ugh! Here, the Arab speaking demographic are the worst offenders of this piss boiling annoyance.

Xperia 1 VI user here, so the 3.5 socket is back again! But bluetooth headphones seem to live longer than wired, so I am not that grumpy about it anymore.

Taking away the customizable notification led, for me, is the most severe functionality downgrade ever. A little colored light which tells me whats going on... Subtly in the corner of my eye.

I never have sound or vibration on, because no notification may interfere with my workflow! I check notifacation when I want.

Apparently more than simple lines and fonts is "too much."

They had to redo this one because of bubbles (had something similar last time when I did a full-top-surface gloss). They suggested using the matte since it's less prone to errors, but I'm not a fan of the look withe the stuff I do. Makes me want to buy a EufyMake E1
