What's your current headache?

IMG_3842.jpeg
This is my current headache, all of the amps are wired into the DeLisle amp selector…..

The tweed is not working and that leads me to believe I wired something wrong. I need to pull the rack out and check all of the wiring and get the two notes into the attenuator loop to record an amp direct out.

Then I think it will be enough to start filming and getting back it.

Oh and learning how to use the mac, it is quite a change from being a lifelong pc user.

Oh, the Mac will be so much easier once you get the hang of it.

I really hope so, I am trying to streamline my editing process. Currently using Lumafusion on my iPad and it is struggling with longer form content. It exports brilliantly into Final Cut Pro for the final touch ups and what not. The whole ecosystem works really well and has been the biggest gear purchase I have ever made. Making dkpedals legit-ish

I've got a grief headache and it's not getting better.
We had to put our sweet, sweet kitty down two days ago. He was 18 and had labored breathing so we brought him in to the vet. Xrays revealed fluid all around his lungs with A LOT of "other" growths in his abdomen. The vet gave us two options and I didn't want to subject my poor cat to any more pain for my own selfish wants. It all happened so fast and unexpectedly. It's been really tough as he's been with us through our milestones. We got him in 2007 when we first started dating, got married, bought a house, had a baby girl and then losing our baby girl in 2013. We both poured all our love into him after that and time has flown by. I keep hearing and seeing him and it's killing me. He was the best cat ever. We named him Maceo from this song and he was absolutely perfect:
18 years just like that.

So sorry for your loss.

Logic is great for recording audio.

You really should clean up that gold top on the workbench.
Congrats on the strides to legitimacy. If DKP doesn't work out, you've got the kit for one hell of an OF setup. onlyfans.com/PAWGPedals (Pale Ass White Guy)
Does this mean Two Girls, One Klon won't be released?
That epiphone goldtop was an impulse buy, not too bad for 250 bucks.

That might be the next move, one new program to learn at a time

Officially afraid of driving, so that’s awesome.

was driving to ikea with my mom, and an old dude slammed into the back right side of our car. Guy claimed he was in his lane the entire time even though logically it makes no sense. Since I was a passenger I legally don’t count as a witness I guess.

This all comes a week after I was almost run off the road by a logging truck that was swerving late at night on my way to my girlfriend’s house, a month after my sister’s car was totaled by someone going 70 in a school zone, and two months after my sister’s fiancé’s car was totaled in a hit and run in the middle of the night while it was parked.
Less than an hour ago my sister was rear ended while driving her Fiancé’s car that he just got from the insurance payout from the previous hit and run. Not bad damage but still... We can’t catch a fucking break.

That sucks! I've only ever been at fault for one collision. It was icy and I slid into a work van at like 10mph. I was relieved to see that like 95% of the damage was to my car but the van guy was still kind of pissed because he was on his way home from the repair shop. The bumper was brand new having been rear ended a few weeks before.

Baltic birch ply is my favorite for that kind of project if you can find it.

I had a large sheet of baltic birch ply - built some small speakers out of it, then used the rest to make a nice guitar case for the baratone. I then found out that it's now 5x the price as unobtainium due to the sanctions and the nordic baltic wood is all hogged by IKEA.

After looking around I found beech ply - this is basically the same harness although has a slight pink tint to it compared to birch. On the hardness scale they're about the same.
Now my combo amp cab is sides and back beach ply and my baffle is one of the remaining pieces of baltic birch ply I have.. I now have 1 more piece that I could make a second baffle out of. I used another chunk of my beech ply for my pedal board which I will adjust now it's had a first fit, I'll round the edges and then tolex it to make it match the amp.

I'm job hunting too so this and the pedal build comp will take my mind off it as a break from the monotony cycle of search, identify, research, rewrite CV to tailor, write cover letter to tailor using the research on the company.. seems to be that people are hitting around 400-500 applications before landing a job.. being over 50, a senior IT skillset is not a good position to be in it seems.

On monday I listened phone recording from sundays rehearsal and I noticed my guitar had strong phasing effect even I don’t own phaser pedal. So went deep down reading stuff from different amp & audio forums. Got the confirmation of the issue I might have and were already sketching out diode clamp add on to grids for curing blocking distortion/bias excursion problem. After few hours I read one thread trough once more and noticed someone mentioned his amp had swirling going on caused by ceiling fan. I quickly felt bit dumb after having the realization this particular rehearsal was first one when I we had to use cooling fan and it was next to my amp. Maybe I’ll just check how the amp plays without the fan blowing next to it before doing any addons… I like really like my amp, but god damn there’s just too many things to consider with an old tube circuit!
