Where do you buy parts at?

what kinda pots? smooth shaft or the other ones....

Whichever you like, depends on the knobs more than anything else. I prefer setscrew knobs, those require 1/4" smooth shafts.

Smallbear is another good source for pots. Who you buy from kinda depends on where you live because the cost (and time) of shipping and import duty can be the deciding factor.

So Tayra for pre-drilled enclosures for Pedal PCB kits. They are labeled by knob and type versus the Circuit name. i want to build the Brown betty,
are all the Pedal pCB layouts generic when it comes to knob placement?

No, they are specific to type. Noted here, I don’t think Tayda has 1590BB types yet but you could use their drilling service.
