Which switch for DPDT King Nothing?

I have a humble request for those who built the King Nothing.
I have read schematics, checked Tayda link and asked around to try and understand what type of DPDT swich to use. On/on/on is clear, but it comes in two different topologies:

The naming of which one that is "type 1" vs "type 2" is not always consistent, so I just added the picture for reference.

I wonder if any of you King Nothing builders would be so kind as to check with continuity meter (or ohm meter), with the pedal removed from power, what the case is when the DPDT is in the middle position? Which pins get connected?

Type 2.
I just looked in my switch draw and found a pack of 4 Tayda A-5413 DPDT ON-ON-ON switches in there.
Looking at the terminal side when I test them they are Type 2 switches

I just placed the switch into a bare King Nothing PCB and in the middle position there is nothing connected,I would say that a normal ON-OFF-ON switch could be used in the King Nothing.

How would you describe the three settings in terms of:
More gain/Less gain
Normal treble/Less treble

Got word from Nathan from Conspiracy to Commit Electronics and he confirmed it should be on/on/on type 2 as per the picture above.
