I’m a grown ass man and don’t really have any hobbies other than building pedals and playing guitar. And Sweetwater gave me a decent discount…….. And I recently sold my West amp for a hefty profit and a couple pedals.

What happened. My dumb ass got trigger happy and impatient and ordered these today.

Pretty stoked. Reverend was really never on my radar until I found a video of Andy playing this one plugged into a Supro Black Magick and I have been wanting to add a P-90 slash Tele-ish style guitar to my collection. The low end roll off knob is genius! Can’t wait to play this thing. And that thing.

Update: I told her and when she said why do you need another amp and guitar I said “ I’m not sure if it’s the same because I don’t understand it but it may be similar to why some women need several purses…” absolute silence because she owns many purses… then she said oh, ok. Wow that was easy. Lol.

Especially when accounting for the prices of those purses! The ones that cost as much as a new pedal are on the low side.
 
Oh man, phrasing is everything thing. That’s what you guys gotta figure out. But you must promise to only use this power for good. I don’t have to worry about it, but occasionally I throw it out there. I’m looking at these, which one do you like? The other one is, look at how pretty this is, it will be here tomorrow, I’m so excited. 🤣🤣🤣 Good luck fellas, we’re here if you get stuck.

My main electric is a Reverend Charger 290. Absolutely love it. Zero buyers remorse after 2 years. The Bass contour is such a killer control. I deninitelyvusecit more than the tone knob. (Admittedly, mostly when noodling with OD and Fuzz pedals.)

The only thing I didn’t like was the cream P90 covers. I bought some unplated nickle covers and it looks killer.
 
I may have mentioned this before, but I have a wonderful wife who says "You were buying and selling guitars before we met so why should I expect that to stop?" I guess the only thing which has changed is how much the guitars cost these days! Fortunately I seem to have got to a place where I can generally afford something really nice if I sell something. Building amps for friends helps too. I make a little bit on top of each amp which goes towards guitar stuff.

The whole guitar buying thing is slowing down for me these days because I have what I want. I suspect learning how to tweak pedals has helped because more and more I am getting exactly what I want out of the guitars I have, or pretty darn close. Of course something new can really kick the old creative process along but I find it hard to imagine a better guitar than those I now have. I have around 6-7. The fun part for me these days is refining the tones through pedals, and when you can get the sound and feel you have been craving for years... well that is special.

I think I drive Chuck crazy with my clumsy attempts at tone-shaping but man, the results are almost life-changing.

When you have the best wife in the world (TM) and the guitars you only ever dreamt of life is pretty good. :cool:

Hey dude, I haven’t forgotten. I’ve actually been falling more and more in love with this amp as time goes on. (*I ended up returning the Reverend but you would have to pry my hands off this Supro it’s not going anywhere!) It’s bringing all sorts of stuff out of my fingers that I wasn’t expecting. Anyway here’s a little clip of the almost clean tone. Enjoy.

Great sounding guitar but I wasn’t feeling the neck. I bit too slim for my fat fingers. I guess the T type guitar still eludes me for now. Sweetwater only charged me $15 to return.
