XB-MB Preamp & Fat General

A couple of my recents-

First is the XB-MB Preamp. Just built it today so I haven’t had alot of time with it yet. It does sound good so far and has some serious boost power. I like the midrange function as well!

Second is the General Tso or Fat General. Killer compressor, I highly recommend it! Said byebye to my Aion Aurora and made this my #1 & my Constrictor #2.

I’ve gotten into the habit of pre-testing all my components before they go in to make sure there are no issues, and that readings are as close to the specs as possible. So far it’s paying off because they fire right up.

I agree - pre-testing is a pain... but sure pays off when the pedals fire right up when I wanna crank 'em for the first time.
  • Nice knob labels, what'd you use?
  • Very clean guts, any reason for the assortment of jacks - or did you run out (that's what would happen in my case...)?

Thanks man! I just use one of those Dymo label makers. Someday I might get into making custom decals, but I’m not there yet.
Yea, I ran low and used what I could scrounge up. Personally, I like those cheapy Tayda jacks like in my XB-MB. They may not be the best quality, but super easy to work with and I’ve found that those other brands bend easily at the tip connector.
