Xotic RC Booster *V2*

I know Aion already has the AC Booster and "regular" RC Booster but the "V2" adds a second footswitch and "Gain 2" control.

Now that I think of it I guess the second footswitch is more or less just toggling between two different gain pots but...it's still a nice sounding pedal and would be cool to fit in 125B format with the second switch and everything.

If it's truly just a second gain pot, you could do it with a second 3PDT switch pretty easily (in the absence of a PedalPCB board, I'd probably use the FuzzDog Acti-Boost board over the Aion board since I don't know if you could fit a second 3PDT alongside the Aion bypass board in a 125B)

Oh interesting, so the two gain switches are in series with each other

Would still be done with a 3PDT, but kinda weird they didn't make it truly a second preset gain (with a larger value if need be if they wanted the option to have Gain 2 still have more range than Gain 1)

You can wire up the 2nd gain pot and switch yourself, or you can get a 2knobJob PCB from GuitarPCB.

I'd ditch the Aion 3PDT board and just use perf (or vero) for whatever bits may be on the Aion 3PDT board and use either no 3PDT board or a simpler PPCB daughterboard.


Big feet like mine, get a 1590B3 or 1590BB2 and you'll have plenty of room for the extra gain control and extra stomper.
In fact, if you go to a 1590BB, you should be able to squeeze/angle the Aion 3PDT daughterboard in there.

Brain fart, you'd only need a DPDT switch (but are those any cheaper than 3PDTs these days?) so maybe they did them in series since it's a little simpler to wire up and maybe DPDTs are cheaper

Huh, looks like! Plus a cap (saw a 10u on one schematic and a 1u on the GGG schematic)
