I like your channel Dan. I wish you showed more of the building process, aka DIY pedal porn but I know it's hard to film and edit. Keep up the good work.
What would you like to see? I can do some sexy gut shots for ya.

I am thinking about gauging interest on doing videos on diy stuff I have built. Like amps, guitars, mics and preamps, stuff like that.

For instance I have to adjust the effects loop on my plexi build might as well film something when I have it open.

Amp building porn is also welcome since I know nothing about it.

I just enjoy watching people solder. This is the only place where I feel somewhat safe sharing this kink of mine.

i recently discovered jim lill on youtube. he has some great videos breaking down specific things about guitar tones and does meticulous testing that's all about curiosity and learning, not about preconceived outcomes. i've enjoyed there very much.
like this video asking "where does the tone come from in an electric guitar?"

I make pedal demos, guitar demos, and the occasional cover over on my youtube. One of my more popular ideas is my "Tone Matrix" series where I create a chart of different knob settings (presets, basically) that I make available for people to use with their own pedal.

That Z2 is super cute.

I've got all that gear in my basement, takes me back to my youth when I was fabbing chips for Steve and Woz's first attempts at building a computer. Hmm I should dust off all that equipment and rebuild my Super-Cray, the statute of limitations must've ended by now...

I find Fortnine a bit cringey... I don't know why exactly. Maybe it's because he kinda emulates old Top Gear a little too closely?

My thing lately has been Psionic Audio. I love his "(sigh) Here is why I don't like this crap (sigh)..." schtick. Actually I have learnt some cool stuff from him. To be fair he does specify whether something is ok "in this pricepoint." And I can't really fault him for his criticism - he's usually right. The point about Morgan amps having 450V on the plates of the power tubes at idle and using 450V filter caps is fair enough. And having worked on a few Fender RI amps his points are spot on. Routing the filaments through quick-connects on the main PCB is just silly when they're already being hand-wired. Why not just wire them to the first power tube and avoid all the hassle? I build amps and the quality available in my local music stores is pretty awful. Actually I guess it's what made me take up building amps in the first place

I like Uncle Doug too but haven't seen much of him lately. And I think Rhett Schull comes across well and I like how he plays but his videos are a bit derivative and he is a big user of whatever is trendy right now.

I can't watch That Pedal Show. Too much gushing about ordinary pedals and guitar-face when playing. They take it fart oo seriously. They should watch Zak. He gets it right. And I like Pete Thorn but he makes everything sound the same, just like Andy.

Meanwhile, my wife is addicted to Cash Jordan's NYC apartment videos. I now know that every single NYC apartment looks exactly the same and is way too expensive for me to every afford.
