Cataclysm delay. I've had a crisis of delay of late, bought, built and sold a few. I think I've landed on DL4 MkII as my keeper though. This one is really nice, can really get it to sound nice and dark like the carbon copy with the tone control.
CDB Circulator - Love this phaser but I wanted to rebuild it to remove the switch I wasnt using, and the rate LED which I didnt like looking at flashing when I wasnt using. I've re-added in the intelligent bypass as well.
Kinetic Fuzz - MP35, around 80hfe, barely measured it, but sounds good. I have a Noctis to build and compare with, though my Double Muff may knock both off.
2 blue pedals in a row? yeh I dont understand me either.
Mach 1 with opa1678 chip - I do have a single opa2134 but I put it in the compressor. who knows why.
This was a complete rebuild after I breadboarded it, built it to PCB and it refused to work. It's actually a miracle it currently works considering how much prodding and pulling on all parts I did to it trying to work out what I'd done wrong, because I couldn't tell what I'd done wrong.
Anyway so I pulled the transistors, diode and pots, re-breadboarded it - fantastic, it's working- then rebuilt to a new PCB. In comparing the old board I worked out what it was, I'd flipped R2 and R3, so that would have done it. Classic assumptions while building a simple pedal.
First off: all credit for this goes to @music6000 , @thewintersoldier and everyone else who contributed to this build. You can see the original discussion here. All I did was follow their advice.
This mod allows you to use the Gnat Fuzz PCB to create an NPN Elka Dizzy Tone.
I wanted to share it here because it is a pretty simple mod to do with an existing PedalPCB board and because I didn't want to put this in the build reports because it isn't complete yet, but it does work! Credit to Music6000 for the build guide:
After building the board I then...
I built mine with PNP because I have way more of them, there's instructions inside for NPN. It's a pretty roaring fuzz, I will have to compare it with my Carbon black and well since they're both MkIII benders.
