Tell me about your guitar playing or practice habits

Seems like this has come up a lot recently here: we build too much and don't play, etc etc, so I ask you, what are your playing or practicing habits like?

My playing habits have changed dramatically since 1. the pandemic started and 2. having a baby. I still want to play all the time but don't get to as much as I'd like. These days, the way I play most consistently are either strumming and singing folk rock and country songs on acoustic with my family or electric guitar but unplugged on the couch after everybody goes to bed. The upside to strumming and singing regularly is that my singing has improved a lot and I've found my voice.

What do you do? Maybe I'll find some inspiration in your habits

I definitely don’t practice as much as I use to and my chops have suffered at a very frustrating level, but as of lately I have been trying to get them back attempting to practicing scales while chasing my 3 year old around the house, my favorite songs to sing to her at the moment are “don’t stick that in your mouth!” ,”What are you doing!” And “no no no no no”

What are your go-to scales? I haven't practiced scales in a long long time

Personally I don’t practice straight scales much, but instead run through different scales going in odd patterns, like up a fifth, down a fourth, and up a second, and repeating (so a c major scale in two octaves would be: C3 G3 D3 E3 B3 F3 G3 D4 A3 B3 F4 C4 D4 A4 E4 F4 C5) but for finger dexterity I do a chromatic ascending triplet/descending 16th note exercise, and I’ll change it to 16th up/ 5let down, or 6let up/7let down if I need to improve more on more difficult tuplets groupings.

I sleep like shit so if I'm up all night and my back hurts too much to work on projects and I'm sedentary, I generally have an instrument in my hands. Any time I let my kids watch TV, I put an instrument in my hands. My headphone rig has been a crucial addition for playing and pedal testing at 2am. Always used to hate practicing with headphones but I'm pretty used to it these days.
