Yeah, digital vocoder. Seemed like a fun and easy project, and I’ve been holding off for years on buying a boss VO-1 because of the cost, but I need a vocoder for my bass board, so…

I remember requesting an analog vocoder in the old wishlist with the caveat that it would probably need to be all smd and on two stacked PCBs for a 1590X.
This fits in a 125B on the other hand, and probably could fit in a 1590B if you used an 1/8” jack for the mic input instead of a 1/4”-XLR combo jack
 
Todays mail was double bonus. Epic boards from Mr. PedalPCB and a surprise from Barry. Turns out that LM13700 I installed backwards in my low tide may have been bunk to begin with. So he sent a replacement and a boost board. Cool. Now what to do with the extra LM13700. ;)

OUT OF STOCK now, you must've got the last or second-last one and CW-Squared the last 'n.

Maybe I'll just order the "pedal assembly service" (I think that just means pre-assembled), and rehouse it.

Sorry, I sat on it for a bit, but it was too good to pass up.

That was my understanding. There are 2 left in pre-assembled "Batch 2". Supposed to ship by the 16th of August.

It's all good, I've got plenty of builds in the queue, and I look forward to seeing what you, Dawson and Bricksnbeatles do with the circuit.

This is why I sat on it for a bit, hoping somebody would beat me to it. Then I could just write it off as "not meant to be". But then I checked and it was still available. The rest is history.

I will always do my best to live up to my acquisitions.

I have another toy set to show up Monday, thanks to our local tube pedal expert, that will be another chance to "compete" with @Bricksnbeatles for digital output.
 
Apparently an order I duplicated, I just hope I remembered to put the discount code in on one of them, this happens to me often this time of year, I get so busy at work I forget I ordered something and order it again. Happily in this instance it's boards I don't mind having extras

They sold out back when I ordered mine, and they were back in stock within a week. I also planned on ordering it two weeks before I did but they sold out at the time, and I didn’t remember to check for a restock until then. It seems like they restock pretty dang often so just check back soon any hopefully you can snag one!

Ah! You’ve got a black eye PCB on the way too I take it?
I ordered some stuff from amplified parts yesterday but forgot the 12ax7s… guess I’ll be holding a little longer before building that one (not that I have any of the other parts for the black eye either)
