+1 for Redco. There TGS house brand is pretty good actually. Also use Mogami 2319 for instrument or patch cables.

Another supplier I really like is btpa.com. They have all the typical bulk stuff and there house brand cable is very good as well. Probably my favorite for patch cables. Similar specs to Mogami but you can get it in a few different colors.

SP400 & SP500 are essentially the same. Only real difference is the size of wire they accept. The outer jacket dimension of your cable is what you need to check. Great plugs.

Okay, it's 4mm, so the SP400 is the way to go.

I think I once saw an SP500 used with the same cable as an SP400, so the 500 would be the most versatile.

Mogami makes colored cable for stereo/microphone/balanced. I'm listening to Tom Petty on my JBL LSR308's over some yellow mogami right now! (Breakdown). When I get my Rickenbacker 620 (when they come back into stock at Sweetwater, I have one reserved) I'll be able to use it for the stereo jack

They are for different size cables. The SP400 are for the thinner Mogami W2314 or the Canare cable of the same size (also an excellent bulk cable). The SP500 are for regular thickness instrument cables.

I bought some of the GLS Pancake cable jacks recently and built some additional patch cables using Mogami W2314. They're obviously much bigger than the SP400's (but also a lot cheaper). They seem extremely solid. I had to add some extra heat shrink to make the thinner cable work.
The only downside is that they're not a great fit for my uhm......rather cramped 1590b top jack arrangement So I only use them for my 125b and 1590bb pedals.

2314 is right around 4mm OD.
SP400's are listed as compatible with up to 4.6m OD. Personally with 2314 I add a bit of heat shrink for it to be really snug.

Similarly I have seen some saying that the SP400s aren't compatible with Mogami 2319. Going off just the spec sheet I guess it is technically true, but not true in practice IMO. (Redco says to use 2314 with SP400s and for 2319 to use SP500s and you'll see others across the internet saying similarly)
Mogami 2319 is right about 5mm OD so we are talking about being too large by a degree of less than 0.5mm. In my experience the cable jacket compresses nicely and gives a snug and secure fit without requiring any heat shrink.

I have a few of both (SP400+2319 and SP400+2314) and ultimately it's just preference. 2314 as just cable is more flexible (and it's a bit cheaper and lower capacitance, I believe) 2319 is marginally more expensive and higher capacitance but perhaps a bit more rugged and I think it's better shielded (that kind of depends too though as I've got 2314 at different times with different shielding styles, so I'm not sure).
I will say that in terms of flexibility, 2314 while being more flexible than 2319 when considering just the cables....2314 with heat shrink is not really any more flexible IMO than 2319 without. So it really kind of depends. Like I said I have a mix of both and they're both fine.

I don't know about SP, but 500 cookies are better than 400 cookies.

I use Tsunami Cables, another small "boutique" brand, I've become a big fan. A little pricey, but super robust, tangle resistant, available in multiple color options, and run by one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet.

My board is all wired up with Rockboard Flat patch cables, I like the small size that allow them to squeeze in tight spaces. I used to do all handmade patch cables, but they started to fail and I gave up on them. I've been using Rockboard for about 4 years now, haven't had a cable fail yet.

I like the neutriks because the insulation is a 3mm thick piece of plastic that's not likely to wear a hole in it, plus they help to snug up the connection so it's extremely difficult to unscrew.
